Last week my husband en I were for a few days in the deep south of the NetHerlands, in Zuid-Limburg. Nature is beautiful there and we like to go for a walk or for a cycle tour in the surrounding landscape, fruit orchards and lovely villages.
It was very hot, so we also had to spend a lot of time out of the sun and under a tree. A good opportunity to reed magazines and books. I had the new book of Nancy Crow with me and I enjoyed it.
We also visited good friends Jan and Jose, my lovely niece Tanja and her friend Giel, and my quiltmate Heidy. On the photograph you see her at work. Heidi and I visited the African museumshop, were we bought some goods. In the afternoon we tried something with paint and stamps. And of course we took some pictures of each other.
I feel very at home when I am in Zuid-Limburg. In september we are going for another week there.

Today it is very hot again. I cannot do anything else, than resting, reading and thinking what to do. The flowers blooms beautiful. I have a lot of flowers and I use them also for my inspiration. And of course I take a lot of photographs.
This afternoon I have to go to the hospital to make pictures of my knees. I think, they are not very well.
The rest of the day I want to make some preparations for shibori painting. From the whole process I make photo's and I will share them with you at the end of the week.

Busy
A busy weekend again. Grandchildren sleeping with us, children who want to have a meal with us in our house, other visitors. I didn,t even have time to make my blog.
But now I have a little bit time.
From one of our visitors I got a nice bouquet of roses from her garden. Roses are my favorite flowers, all kinds and all colors.
Tomorrow I have to work in our large garden again, and perhaps I have some time to expiriment with materials I worked with when Heidi and I were at Annette´s home.
