We went for two weeks to Andalusia in Spain and to Marokko to visit the Towns of the Kings.
The history of both regions have a lot in common and it is very interesting to compare the countries. Next days I will publish more pictures.
The first two pictures are of The Mezquita in Cordoba, the last three of the Alhambra in Granada.

We zijn twee weken naar Andalusie en naar de koningsteden in Marokko geweest.
De geschiedenis van de beide regio's/landen hebben veel overeenkomsten en het is interessant om ze met elkaar te vergelijken. De komende dagen zal ik nog meer foto's op het blog zetten. De eerste twee foto's zijn van de Mezquita in Cordabo en de laatste drie van het Alhambra in Granada.

Back home we heard that our eldest granddaughter, 12 years old, was ill. Thursday she went to hospital and was kept there. Diagnosis was meningitis. That was heavy. She was very ill. We are all very happy that the worst days are gone. She stays in hospital till the end of this week, and we hope she will recover soon.

Toen we thuiskwamen hoorden we dat onze oudste kleindochter, 12 jaar, ziek was. Donderdag ging ze naar de kinderarts in het ziekenhuis en bleef daar meteen. Ze had hersenvliesontsteking.

Dat was heftig. Ze was erg ziek en we zijn nu erg blij dat het ergste voorbij is. Deze week blijft ze nog in het ziekenhuis. Haar ouders zijn dag en nacht bij haar en we hopen dat ze snel weer herstelt, hoewel de prognose is dat het wel tot september kan duren voor ze echt beter is.
