Yesterday we "did" the Christmas concert in the church in the centre of Oss. Not only traditional Christmassongs but also beautiful music of Mendelsohn, Mozart and Sweelinck. Church was overflowded and the people enjoyed the music very much.

 

Gisteren zongen we het Kerstconcert in de grote kerk in het centrum van Oss. we zongen niet alleen de traditionele kerstliederen maar ook stukken van Mendelsohn, Mozart en Seewlinck. De kerk zat vol en we hebben lovende reacties gehad.

My quilt for the exhibition in the church in Uithuizermeeden is finished. It was not so easy because we all had to use screenprinted fabric we made together. You understand I cann't yet show you pictures now. The exhibition in in June and is a part of the Quiltfestival in the region Groningen.

 

De quilt voor de tentoonstelling in de kerk van Uithuizermeeden is klaar. Het was niet zo gemakkelijk want iedereen werd geacht dezelfde gezeefdrukte stof te gebruiken die we met elkaar geschapen hadden. Je snapt dat ik nu nog geen foto's kan laten zien. Dat komt in juni wel.

De tentoonstelling is in juni in een kerk in Uithuizermeeden en is onderdeel van het Quiltfestival in de provincie Groningen.

Vakantie Nederland tray dying Sun Printen tijdens vakantie

In our country are nice places to. The picture above was made at he Nieuwkoopse plassen. And even a beautiful sundown is possible.In ons land zijn ook hele mooie plekken De bovenste foto was gemaakt bij de Nieuwkoopse plassen,

We were for nine days in Iceland. What a nature. Strong, rough, quiet and fresh air. Marvellous. We saw  lot of waterfalls, black dunes, blue lakes, snowy mountains, typical birds and flowers, hot springs, icebergs, beautiful stones and  the gap between the two continents, the american and the europian continent.

Wij waren negen dagen in IJsland. Wat een natuur. Ruw, machtig, rustig en veel frisse lucht. Geweldig. We zagen een heleboel watervallen, zwarte duinen, blauwe meren, veel vulkanische gesteente, besneeuwde bergen, typische vogels en bloemen, ijsbergen, heet waterbronnen, prachtige stenen en de breuk tussen de twee continenten, het amerikaanse en het Euroaziatische. Een fijne belevenis.

Marokko, laaste foto's

The last pictures of Marokko. Nature is beautiful. The orange coloured sand dunes in the desert, the sun going down in the desert.

 De laatste foto's van Marokko. De natuur is geweldig.  De oranje gekleurde zandduinen in de woestijn en de zon die onder gaat in de woestijn.

The smell of the wild roses and the dried ones. The are used to make very nice smelling beauty products.

De geur van de wilde rozen en de gedroogde vorm ervan. Ze worden gebruikt om heerlijk ruikende schoonheidsproducten van te maken. 

 Intricate patterns, carved by nature in the r0cks of the Atlas mountains.
Intrigerende patrornen, die door de natuur in de rotsen van het Atlas gebergte zijn uitgehold.

And a wild Orchid in Volubilus, an old Roman city. Only ruins remain.
En  een wilde orchidee in Volubilus, een oude Romeinse stad, waar alleen nog maar de ruines te zien zijn.

Carpets enough in Morocco. I saw a wonderfull one, but it was to large for my room. Often they were like patchwork.

Genoeg tapijten in Marokko. I zag een hele mooie maar helaas, hij was te groot voor mijn zithoek. Vaak zagen ze eruit als patchwork.

And cabinets full os shawls. I bought a nice pashmina shawl, made of wool.
En planken vol met sjaals. Ik kocht een mooie pashmina sjaal van zuiver wol.

And the famous baboesjes, leather shoes. I could not resist and bought a pair in my  favorite colour orange. En de beroemde baboesjes, een soort leren pantoffels. Ik kon geen weerstand bieden en kocht een paar in mijn favoriete kleur oranje,

Food, another source of inspiration. The colors and forms, the way the people arranged them, the smells, al is good to bring you to new thoughts.

 Voedsel een andere bron van inspiratie. De kleuren, de vormen, de manier waarop ze gerangschikt zijn, en de geuren zorgen ervoor dat je op andere gedachten komt.

No singing tonight. Our conductor is ill. So I have time now to post some more pictures of Morocco. Now a little overview of patterns. Morocco is famous for the tile works, mosaics and the embellishment of the walls. I cann't get enough pictures and keep photographing when I am there.

Vanavond konden we niet zingen want onze dirigent is ziek. Konden we onverrichterzake weer naar huis. Dus heb ik nu tijd om weer wat foto's van Marokko op het blog te zetten. Deze keer zijn de patronen aan de beurt.

Marokko is beroemd om zijn tegelwerken en vooral de mosaiken, en de versieringen van de muren met cederhout en prachtige figuren in stucwerk. Ik blijf aan het fotograferen als ik daar ben.
