Textielmuseum

A couple of days ago the friends of the Dutch Textilemuseum in Tilburg had their yearly friends day in the Museum.
Om May 25th the Museum re-opened their doors after a great restauration of 8 month. A whole new entrance building is realized with a nice reception, cafe, large museumshop, space for meetings and workshops etc. The exhibition rooms are also larger and they have now a very good exposition. The damask weaving and the TextileLab are also updated.
A part of a damask loom you see in the photo. On the other photo you see the bench in front of the museum. This bench was donated bij the friends of the Textilemuseum to the museum.
I could not see every during my visit, so I have to go back soon.


Een aantal dagen geleden hadden de Vrienden van het Nederlands Textielmuseum hun jaarlijkse vriendendag in het Textielmuseum.
Op 25 mei heropende het Textielmuseum haar poorten na een grote restauratie van 8 maanden.
Een nieuw glazen entreegebouw is gerealiseerd met daarein de receptie, het cafe, en een grote museumwinkel. Verder vergader- en workshopruimtes.
De ruimte voor de wisseltentoonstellingen is vergroot en daar is een interressante tentoonstelling te zien. Ook de damastweverij en het TextileLab zijn aangepast.
Een deel van een damast weefgetouw zie je op de eerste foto en op de tweede foto staat het bankje dat voor het museum staat. Dat bankje is geschonken door de vrienden van het Textielmuseum.
Ik heb lang niet alles kunnen zien, dus moet ik binnenkort nog een keertje terug.
